Privacy Policy

The Adventure Society LLC ("we," "us," or "our") operates this website and the Deal-i$h Dining mobile application (collectively, the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

By using the Service, you agree to the practices described here. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Information we collect

1.1 Information you provide directly

1.2 Information generated by your use of the Service

1.3 Automatically collected information

2. How we use information

3. Third-party services

The Service uses the following third-party providers. Each operates under its own privacy policy:

4. Where your data is stored

The majority of your personal data — meal plans, dietary profile, location preferences, recipe interactions, and shopping lists — is stored locally on your device using encrypted local storage (MMKV). It does not leave your device unless you explicitly choose to back it up (a feature coming in a future release).

Account credentials (email and authentication tokens) are stored by Google Firebase Authentication, which operates servers in the United States and other regions consistent with Google's infrastructure.

5. Data sharing and disclosure

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We do not share your locally-stored meal plans, preferences, or shopping lists with anyone, ever — we don't have access to that data ourselves.

We may disclose information if required by law, in response to a valid legal process (subpoena, court order), or to protect the rights, safety, or property of The Adventure Society, our users, or the public.

6. Your choices and rights

6.1 Access and deletion

Because most of your data lives on your device, you can delete it at any time by uninstalling the app — your meal plans, preferences, and shopping lists go with it.

To delete your account credentials (the Firebase Authentication record): use the Delete Account option in the app's Profile screen, or contact us at hello@adventuresocietybranch.com. Account deletion is permanent and processed within 30 days.

6.2 California residents (CCPA)

You have the right to request access to, deletion of, or correction of personal information we hold about you. Submit a request to hello@adventuresocietybranch.com. We will respond within 45 days.

6.3 EU residents (GDPR)

You have the rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and objection regarding your personal data. The lawful basis for our processing is performance of a contract (providing you the Service you signed up for) and our legitimate interest in operating and improving the Service. You may also lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

7. Children's privacy

The Service is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that a child has provided us personal information, we will delete it promptly. Parents who believe a child has used the Service may contact us.

8. Security

We use industry-standard security measures, including encrypted local storage and TLS for any data in transit. However, no security measure is perfect, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. Use the Service at your own risk.

9. Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy occasionally. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top. Material changes will be communicated through the Service or by email when we have an account email on file.
